RECEPTION ADMISSIONS WILL OPEN ON 1st NOVEMBER 2025
Children are admitted to Reception in the academic year that they will be five years old. For more information and to apply, visit www.lbbd.gov.uk admissions (link opens in new window). Applications will open on 1st November 2025.
Do not forget we are a school on two sites, please ensure you apply for the correct site, Valence Bonham Road or Valence St. George's Road.
Admissions 2026
The Reception School application process opens on 1st November 2025. You need to apply for a Reception year school place if your child was born between 1 September 2021 to 31 August 2022. If your child was born between these dates, parents can apply from 1st November 2025 to start school full-time in September 2026.
To apply online for a Reception school place visit www.eadmissions.org.uk (link opens in new window) by the closing date 15 January 2026. You will be provided with an Application Reference Number, please keep a note of this reference number once you have submitted your preferences as you will need to quote this number throughout your Reception application process. This is your receipt that you have successfully submitted your application, you will get an email confirmation and be given an application reference number as like above.

Procedures for Admittance to Reception
The school applies the Local Education Authority’s admission policy. The Local Education Authority has set procedures for allocating Reception places. Admission to Reception classes is entirely their responsibility.
Parents who are interested in their child starting at our school are welcome to contact the office who will be happy to arrange a visit, give a tour of the school and facilities available and answer any questions.

Should there be more applicants than places available, then the local authority will apply the following criteria:-
- Children with brothers or sisters currently in the school.
- Children who live closest to the school.

Please remember...
- All parents MUST apply online for their child’s school place.
- Each applicant can list up to six schools in any borough as their preferences.
- All London Local Authorities use the eAdmissions site for on-line applications.
- Pupils applying late are unlikely to get a place at their preferred oversubscribed school.
